Mini bio
How it started.
Before Mr. Moudz became a familiar fashion handle, Mahmoud Sidani worked as a buyer at Dubai’s Level Shoes. The job brought fashion weeks, travel and meetings with designers. Sharing those experiences on Instagram grew into a career they had not originally planned, as they explained in a Saudi Gazette interview.
Finding a style.
Streetwear, accessories and luxury fashion run through their work. Mahmoud’s retail experience carried into brand projects, including a 2015 role as Namshi’s male brand ambassador, a personal edit for FARFETCH in 2022 and an ELLE Arabia editorial wearing Louis Vuitton’s fall/winter 2023 collection.
Scent and memory.
In 2024, Mahmoud founded By Moudz in honor of their late father. On the brand’s own site, they describe scent as a way to revisit cherished moments. June Child and Sapphire were the first fragrances; Amber Sky and Rose-Bud followed. In WWD, Mahmoud described asking followers what they wanted next and using their feedback to shape the collection.
