Mini bio
How it started.
Merphy began making YouTube videos in 2016, building her channel around book reviews and conversations with other readers. Her Dear Authors series brought readers’ opinions about writing into the discussion. In 2020, she interviewed Christopher Paolini about motivation, time management and staying focused on a difficult writing project.
Into the Grand Line.
She started reading One Piece in 2021, adding manga to her established book coverage. Her Marineford review from that July is one place to revisit that reading journey. She also teamed up with Daniel Greene to sort their favorite fantasy books from beginner to advanced.
Two places to read along.
In late 2023, she reorganized her channels around the two formats: Merphy Napier | Manga and Merphy Napier | Books. Today, fans can follow One Piece chapter discussions on one channel and book reviews, wrap-ups and reading plans on the other. Her manga channel also makes room for other series, including Witch Hat Atelier.
