Mini bio
How it started
Michael grew up in Bedford Hills, New York, and trained as an actor before moving into political media. He graduated from Yale, where he studied history and Italian literature, and joined The Daily Wire in 2016.
The blank-book breakout
In 2017, Reasons to Vote for Democrats brought his political humor to a wider audience. The largely blank book became a bestseller, and The Michael Knowles Show began that same year. Speechless followed in 2021, making language and political correctness the subject of a full-length argument.
Beyond the daily show
His work also runs through literature and longer conversations. He performed Andrew Klavan’s narrative podcast Another Kingdom, helped launch Verdict with Ted Cruz in 2020, and hosts PragerU’s The Book Club. Interviews, live debates, and campus talks sit alongside his daily political commentary.
