Mini bio

How it started.

Before politics became his daily work, Brian pursued acting and writing in Los Angeles. Chorus dates the start of his online political career to 2018. In a later interview, he explained that seeing a shortage of left-wing video commentary made him decide to put his own experience in front of the camera to work.

Building No Lie.

He launched No Lie in 2020, bringing political analysis and interviews into the same feed. A White House interview with Joe Biden in February 2022 became an early milestone. He has also built recurring collaborations with voting rights attorney Marc Elias on Democracy Watch and former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner on The Legal Breakdown.

From videos to books.

His first book, Shameless, came out in 2024 and became a number one New York Times bestseller. The Day After followed in July 2026, examining his argument for how progressives should use political power. That year also brought his Barack Obama interview and two Webby wins for News & Politics.

Helping other creators.

Brian also serves as president of the Chorus Creator Incubator Program. Its work includes training and individual meetings intended to help progressive creators grow, extending his interest in independent media beyond his own channels.
