Mini bio
How it started.
Dave started with stand-up in New York City. In his 2017 conversation with Tyler Cowen, he recalled spending years promoting comedy shows on street corners in Times Square. An early podcast with an on-air partner led to SiriusXM, then to his work in online video.
Finding his audience.
The Rubin Report began with The Young Turks in 2013. Dave left in 2015 and moved to Larry King’s Ora TV before taking the show independent. He told Cowen that the Ora period, including conversations with Sam Harris and Ayaan Hirsi Ali, was when the show found its footing. Audience support through Patreon helped fund the next step.
Beyond the interview chair.
Alongside The Rubin Report, Dave has written Don’t Burn This Book and Don’t Burn This Country, toured with Jordan Peterson, and co-founded Locals. Rumble acquired the platform in 2021. His newer projects include the group podcast Actual Friends and Copal tequila.
