Mini bio
How it started.
Kyle grew up in Westchester County, New York, and studied political science at Iona College, graduating in 2010. He started Secular Talk in 2008 while still a student, building a place to discuss politics and religion in his own voice.
Finding his audience.
As he began publishing videos full time, Secular Talk grew past 100,000 subscribers. By 2015, the show was his living. Fans came for direct arguments, jokes and a willingness to criticize Democratic leaders as well as Republicans.
Beyond the channel.
Kyle helped co-found Justice Democrats, taking his interest in progressive politics into electoral organizing. In January 2021, he and Krystal Ball launched Krystal Kyle & Friends with Marianne Williamson as their first guest. They married in May 2023.

Secular Talk remains his home for news commentary from a populist left perspective. His work also includes long conversations on Krystal Kyle & Friends, the more freewheeling Kyle & Corin podcast and essays for Current Affairs.
