Mini bio
How it started.
Raised in Lindale, Texas, Miranda learned guitar from dad Rick and began writing songs. A self-released album followed in 2001. After playing the Texas circuit, Miranda finished third on Nashville Star in 2003, bringing those songs to a national audience.
Finding a voice.
Kerosene arrived in 2005 and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. Revolution followed in 2009, with “White Liar” and “The House That Built Me.” That second song brought Miranda a first Grammy in 2011. Platinum and Wildcard later won Best Country Album.
Making room for more.
Alongside the solo records, Miranda makes music with Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley as Pistol Annies. In 2009, Miranda and mom Bev founded MuttNation to help shelter pets. The work now includes adoption, spay and neuter efforts, and disaster support for shelters.
The latest chapter.
Crisco arrived in October 2026, co-produced with Jesse Frasure. The record brings strings and disco into Miranda’s country sound, with Chris Stapleton on “A Song To Sing” and Ella Langley on “Snakeskin Boots.”
