Mini bio
How it started.
Nam built her craft at beauty counters and doing bridal makeup in the Bay Area. After moving to New York, she faced agency rejections and supported herself doing makeup for brides and strip-club dancers. She later helped produce shoots for ELLE Vietnam, taking on casting and creative responsibilities as well as makeup.
Finding her glow.
Her luminous complexion work found an audience on Instagram. She made the dewy dumpling look her calling card, showing fans how skincare, foundation and carefully placed highlighter work together. Celebrity clients have included Kylie Jenner, Chrissy Teigen and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Meeting the dumplings.
In 2022, Nam self-funded Dewy Dumpling Delights, a New York food-truck pop-up that gave fans beauty samples and treats. The project brought her online community into the street. Vogue Business included her among its 2023 beauty disruptors.
