Mini bio
How it started.
Oh Wonder began as a songwriting experiment. Anthony and Josephine put songs on SoundCloud hoping to pitch them to other artists, staying anonymous even to friends. Starting in September 2014, they released one song a month for a year. Those recordings became their self-titled debut in September 2015.
Finding their audience.
Their two voices and home-recorded songs found listeners far beyond London. Ultralife followed in 2017, then No One Else Can Wear Your Crown in 2020. Their music also found a home on television: All We Do became the theme for ITV’s Unforgotten, while Drive appeared in the pilot of Doctor Foster.
Writing through a difficult time.
The now-married duo documented a crisis in their relationship on 22 Break in 2021. Its companion, 22 Make, followed in 2022 with a more hopeful view of their life together. Their songwriting also reached hip-hop listeners through Lil Uzi Vert’s The Way Life Goes, which earned them recognition at the 2019 BMI London Awards.
Where they are now.
They revisited their beginnings with Oh Wonder (10 Years On) in 2025 and took their songs to Europe and North America. In October 2026, Mad World marked their first new song in four years. They made it at their Highwater studio, with Josephine arranging strings, and have announced European shows for 2027.
