Mini bio
How it started.
In 2011, Quratulain Balouch was finding an audience with her cover of Reshma’s “Akhian Nu Ren De.” Her early Coke Studio appearance alongside Jal on “Panchi” introduced her to more listeners. In an interview that August, she described being the only person in her family working in music.
The Humsafar connection.
Her voice became closely associated with “Woh Humsafar Tha,” the title song of HUM TV’s 2011 drama Humsafar. That soundtrack remains a natural starting point for fans discovering her music.
Songs across screens and stages.
Her Coke Studio collaborations include “Sammi Meri Waar” with Umair Jaswal, “Faasle” with Kaavish and “Thagyan” with Zain Zohaib. She also sang “Kaari Kaari” for the 2016 film Pink, with music by Shantanu Moitra and lyrics by Tanveer Ghazi. Her solo single “Saaiyaan” won Song of the Year at the 2017 Lux Style Awards.
