Mini bio

How it started.

Ranboo’s first YouTube upload, “I decided to play skywars, it was a nightmare,” arrived on August 13, 2020. In the description, they explain that they were testing recording software and looking forward to making more. They began streaming on Twitch that September.

Finding an audience.

Joining the Dream SMP in November 2020 brought Ranboo to a much larger audience through Minecraft roleplay. Their videos also made room for everyday comedy, including a cake-baking special celebrating one million subscribers and a city outing with TommyInnit and Tubbo.

Building their own stories.

Ranboo wrote and starred in Generation Loss: The Social Experiments, a three-part live horror series that ran in May 2023. A Founder’s Cut followed in June 2024. The project has since expanded into The Founder’s Game and work on Generation 2: Oasis, alongside their gaming streams and main-channel videos.

Trivia

  1. Ranboo credits The Walten Files with drawing them into analog horror.
  2. A demo version of a-ha’s “Take On Me” helped inspire Generation Loss: they imagined a world where that version was the finished song.
  3. Their 2026 beef Wellington video was edited by Ranboo, with MoonzyCat operating the camera.
