Mini bio
How it started.
Born and raised in Syria, Reem studied French literature before moving to Dubai in 1994. In a Harper’s Bazaar Arabia interview, Reem described learning English, studying business and later developing skills in jewellery design and gemology. Children’s fashion retail came before the move into beauty.
Building Laloge.
Laloge grew from a personal search for a salon that could offer hair, makeup and nails together in a comfortable setting. Reem described the idea to Emirates Woman as a private dressing-room experience. The business began at Address Montgomerie in Emirates Hills and expanded to other Dubai hotel locations.
Sharing the wider world.
Alongside the salons, Reem shares fashion and travel through @reemabousamra. Interviews offer a closer look at the person behind the pictures: designing jewellery at night, finding inspiration while travelling and choosing comfort for long red-carpet evenings. In 2024, WIBA recognised Reem as Most Influential Social Personality of the Middle East.
