A designer’s beginnings.
Hala’s interest in design started well before OFA. In an Arab News interview, Hala recalled helping renovate the family home as a teenager in Jeddah. Architecture studies at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles followed, then professional jewelry design training at the International Gemological Institute.
Finding an audience.
Under the name TheHala, Hala built a public presence around fashion, beauty and travel on Instagram and YouTube. About Her documents makeup tutorials and a Hala x OwnTheLooks collection; Grazia highlights an appearance in Tommy Hilfiger’s TommyxZendaya campaign.
Building OFA.
OFA’s own story dates its founding to Dubai in 2020. The name means One for All, reflecting Hala’s wish to build a community rather than put a personal name on the label. Saudi cultural references and an architectural eye inform the designs, made with local artisans.
Heritage in the details.
The Foug collection draws on Saudi artistic traditions, while Selene explores water and movement. Hala’s work also extends into experiences: in 2025, Hala co-curated InterContinental’s Doors Unlocked Dubai program during Dubai Design Week and hosted its dinner at Pierre’s TT.
