Mini bio

How it started.

Salah grew up in Saint-Denis, France. In his own account of his beginnings, he trained with other dancers in the street and performed street shows before working in studios. His early career included The Family crew, which placed second at Battle of the Year in 1998, and the contemporary company Montalvo-Hervieu, which he joined in 1999.

A style with characters.

He calls his blend of Popping, Animation, Boogaloo and Effects P.A.B.E. His performances also draw on mime and humour. Winning the first season of Incroyable Talent in 2006 brought that approach to a wider television audience. He later won Arabs Got Talent in 2015 and Italy’s Tú sí que vales in 2017.

Beyond the battle.

His work has moved between teaching, film and live performance. Breathe the Beat paired tutorials with an invitation for dancers to create their own routines. He performed with Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour, appeared and choreographed in Mad About Dance, and danced alongside B-Boy Junior in Soolking’s Rockstar 2 video.

Still sharing the craft.

Recent workshop programmes show him teaching popping and breaking in France. In his 2026 Skillzoo Nation interview, he also talks about the imagination and drawing that helped him express himself before dance became central to his life.
