How it started.

Before Lifestyle with Sarah, Sarah spent more than a decade in aviation, working in e-recruitment, social media and corporate communications. Her own About page describes the blog as the place where her creator career began.

Finding her style.

Sarah says her elder sister helped spark her interest in fashion. Her Sri Lankan upbringing and life in multicultural Dubai shaped an approach centred on modest dressing, individuality and representation. In a StarNgage interview, she also credited Michelle Phan with inspiring her to start blogging.

A magazine of her own.

Frustrated by the lack of diversity in fashion magazines, Sarah created the LWS Insta-magazine. In her 2019 Salon Privé interview, she explained that Oprah Winfrey’s magazine inspired the idea. That year, the World Fashion Festival Awards named her Best Fashion Blogger.
