How it started
Shreya began her YouTube channel in August 2010 under the name SJLovesJewelry. Her first upload that October showed a DIY fuller’s earth face mask. Makeup reviews, beauty tips and tutorials became the heart of her channel, alongside her blog Beauty In the Third World.
Finding her audience
Her work reached beyond her own channel through beauty brand events and collaborations. In 2016, her Shiv Ardhanarishwar makeup look won the LAWithNYXIndia contest. She travelled to Los Angeles, where NYX’s event photography identified her as an international winner.
Making beauty products together
In 2018, she collaborated with YBP on Color Creams for eyes, lips and cheeks. Her 2020 MAC collaboration brought fans into the process: Instagram polls helped choose the products for three festive kits, named Tere Naina, Laal Ishq and Desi Girl.
What fans can watch now
Her recent videos range from budget product lists and luxury makeup alternatives to detailed routines. Project Pan follows her efforts to use up her collection, while Diwalog brings together festive tutorials, skincare and product comparisons.
