Mini bio
How it started.
Acne around age 20 drew Wayne into makeup and the search for clear-looking skin. In a 2013 Beautylish interview, Wayne described learning through reading and trial and error, then building a business through word of mouth, including one-to-one makeup for women over 40 and bridal work.
Finding an audience.
Wayne began publishing beauty videos in 2009. The 2012 tutorial on contouring and highlighting like Kim Kardashian became a breakout, helping bring the teaching to a much larger audience. Fans could follow the steps on Wayne’s own face.
From techniques to tools.
The first product line, The Collection, arrived with Beautylish in September 2013: eight makeup brushes handcrafted in Japan. In 2020, Wayne moved into colour cosmetics with the Luxury Lip Collection, covering lipstick, lip liner and gloss.
The next chapter.
Wayne resigned from the beauty company on 28 March 2025. The official statement sets out an ambition to make beauty more useful for women over 40. Meanwhile, the channel continues with tutorials and reviews, from hooded-eye makeup to foundation and blush placement.
