Mini bio
How it started.
Originally from South Wales, Sofie moved to Ohio in 2004 to design underwear for Abercrombie & Fitch. Accessories work took her to New York, and handbag production trips to South Korea deepened her interest in skincare. She studied esthetics at Christine Valmy while still working in fashion.
The leap.
She began giving friends facials in a rented room, building demand through word of mouth. She set herself a test: if she could book 35 treatments in a month, she would leave fashion. She booked about 86. Her practice developed around individual skin concerns and acne care.
Beyond the treatment room.
Virtual consultations helped extend her practice during the pandemic. In 2023 she launched Sofie Pavitt Face with Mandelic Clearing Serum, bringing her studio approach into an at-home product line. Today, her online work includes skincare explainers and candid client conversations in Saving Face.
