How it started.
Stephanie traces the idea for Collection of Vials to a January 2015 internship at Bloglovin’, where working with bloggers turned them into an avid beauty-blog reader. Their own experience with sensitive, acne-prone skin and eczema gave them a reason to share product discoveries.
From beauty enthusiast to founder.
After starting Jezie Jewelry at 15, Stephanie studied marketing and finance at NYU Stern. Mount Lai followed in 2017, inspired by their grandmother’s jade rolling and gua sha rituals. In a Glow Recipe interview, Stephanie described getting the brand into Sephora at 22 as a personal milestone.
Making room for rituals.
Stephanie left Clinique’s e-commerce team in August 2018 to pursue Mount Lai and Collection of Vials full time. Their creator work spans skincare education, product reviews and tutorials, with books and everyday self-care woven into the mix.
