Mini bio
How it started.
Sunny grew up in Peshawar and began writing poetry in primary school. By seventh grade, he was experimenting with recording, including early sessions using a cousin’s microphone and computer. He told Instep that he began sharing music on ReverbNation and was making music seriously by eighth or ninth grade.
Finding his listeners.
“Log Kya Kahenge,” featured in Patari Aslis Volume 2 in 2018, brought him wider attention. His work moves between social questions and personal reflection, with verses in Urdu, English, Punjabi and Pashto. The self-produced “La Haasil,” released in May 2020, became one of his best-known songs.
Building a body of work.
His album catalogue includes Khabbarnaama, Siyaah and Shaitaan Ki Saat Shartain. Siyaah brings together collaborators including Eva B, Zoha Zuberi, Moji and Inqalab. “Dhun,” his collaboration with Inqalab, went on to win Song of the Year at the 2025 Lux Style Awards.
