How it started.

Tahir comes from Luddan in southern Punjab and identifies with Lahore. His route into music included studying at Karachi Arts Council and teaching music and drama. He also earned a Master’s in Philosophy from the University of the Punjab.

The song that travelled.

His Punjabi duet “Rusya Na Kar,” made with Rafeel Ijaz and Bizz Music, became an early calling card. A November 2020 Daily Times profile described its popularity in both Pakistan and India and introduced his Funk Folk project, including “Multan,” “Motorway” and “Pyaar.”

Building his own catalogue.

With “Mann Meriyan” from Ramz Volume 1, Tahir sang and shared writing and composition credits with Ali Sajid. His later Ramz sessions and Funk Folk releases keep returning to love, Punjabi melodies and band performances. In 2026, he followed remixes with MOH with the official video for “ILZAAM.”
