Mini bio
How it started.
Growing up in south London in a Nigerian family, Tinie saw So Solid Crew's 21 Seconds video at 12 and began imagining a life in music. Early work with Aftershock Hooligans and the independent label Disturbing London, set up with cousin Dumi Oburota, helped build a path to a Parlophone deal in 2009.
The breakthrough.
In 2010, Pass Out and Written in the Stars reached number one in the UK, as did debut album Disc-Overy. Two BRIT Awards followed in 2011. Demonstration arrived in 2013, with Youth following in 2017.
Back to the dancefloor.
The 2026 album The Night's Not Dead grew around three EPs named 9PM, 12AM and 3AM. In an interview with UKF, Tinie connected the project to the clubs and raves that helped shape a career, and to protecting spaces where artists can meet audiences. A UK and European tour is listed for November and December 2026 on the official website.
