Mini bio
How it started.
Long before Wallows, Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters and Cole Preston were making music together as kids in the Los Angeles program Join the Band. After years of playing under other names, they introduced Wallows with “Pleaser” in 2017.
The first big connection.
Their 2018 EP Spring led into the John Congleton-produced debut album Nothing Happens in 2019. “Are You Bored Yet?”, featuring Clairo, became their breakout song, bringing their uneasy, melodic take on growing up to a wider audience.
Finding new sounds.
For 2022’s Tell Me That It’s Over, they worked with producer Ariel Rechtshaid. They reunited with Congleton for Model in 2024, recording much of it at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles and thinking about how the songs would feel in larger live rooms.
From Model to More.
The Model tour took them to venues including Madison Square Garden, Red Rocks and the Kia Forum. In March 2025, they released More, giving seven songs from the Model sessions their own EP rather than folding them into a deluxe album.

Trivia
- The name Wallows comes from a real skate spot on Oahu that Braeden discovered through Tony Hawk’s Underground.
- Tony Hawk surprised them with a video message during their 2024 TODAY appearance.
- Braeden said “Bad Dream” began as a playful attempt to write a 1990s boy-band song.
