Mini bio
How it started.
Ysabelle grew up in California’s Bay Area and began ballet, jazz and hip-hop at five. At eight, she joined the Golden State Warriors’ kids hip-hop team. Training trips to Los Angeles brought her to Tony Tzar, who became her mentor and godfather.
From student to teacher.
Her early professional work included Willow Smith’s “Whip My Hair” video, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Just Dance games. She taught her first class at Chapkis Dance Academy at 15, then traveled to Russia to teach at 17. Workshops and studio classes became a major part of her career.
On screen and online.
She danced in Bruno Mars and Cardi B’s 2018 “Finesse” video. Another widely shared moment came in 2022, when choreography she created for Victoria Monét’s festival sets became the “Some Cut” challenge. More recently, her work has included choreography collaborations with Rio and Pella’s “Make Life Brighter” campaign.
