Mini bio
How it started.
Zoe began sharing beauty finds and shopping trips from her bedroom in Wiltshire. She joined YouTube in 2009, building an audience through beauty, fashion and lifestyle videos. Her early uploads included a look at the things in her bedroom.
Finding her audience.
Beauty tutorials brought viewers in, while collaborations and everyday vlogs helped them get to know her. Her MoreZoella channel became a place for life behind the scenes. She also spoke openly about anxiety and became mental health charity Mind’s first digital ambassador in 2014.
Beyond the camera.
Her 2014 debut novel, Girl Online, broke the UK first-week sales record for a debut novel. She followed it with two sequels, the seasonal hosting book Cordially Invited and The Magpie Society, a gothic mystery series co-written with Amy McCulloch.
Life on her own channel.
Her Zoe Sugg videos bring together beauty routines, clothes, decorating, crafts and family days out. Her 2025 uploads included Halloween videos and a full Vlogmas run. The separate Zoella editorial website says it is taking a break while Zoe and her team focus on other projects.
