YouTubeHow it started.
Albert grew up in Minsk, Belarus, and moved to the United States in 2016. Before cooking became his career, he worked in hardware engineering. In his 2021 Tubefilter interview, he described producing circuit-board prototypes for medical and aerospace clients.
The first big hit.
Lockdown boredom led Albert to TikTok in 2020, first as a viewer and then as a cook sharing his own videos. He kept posting alongside his engineering job. A birria taco video reached 10 million TikTok views in 2021, encouraging him to keep going and try more Mexican dishes.

His recipes bring together fast food, film and television, and unexpected combinations. His debut cookbook, Albert Can Cook, arrived on October 22, 2024. It gives fans measurements and instructions for dishes such as Mozzarella Donuts, Big Mac Burritos and Deadpool Pizza, in a format designed to stand on the kitchen counter.
