Mini bio
How it started.
Born in Turin, Alessandro came to photography after studying industrial design. Their work moves between fashion commissions and personal projects, with close attention to light, composition and the objects people leave behind.
Finding a direction.
In a 2024 interview with paloma wool, Alessandro described stepping away from fashion work when it felt disconnected from their interests. In 2018, they began again by committing to personal photography. They later identified Small talks with strangers, made in 2020, as the series that clarified their approach.
Pictures on paper.
Alessandro co-founded Continente Editions. The publisher released Plastic bags in 2022, a book drawn from photographs made in 2020 and 2021, designed with Nicolò Oriani and accompanied by a text from Jack Self. With Paola Ristoldo, Alessandro also directs and edits Parklife, a magazine about outdoor spaces launched in London in April 2023.
From everyday life to fashion.
The 2024 paloma wool collaboration turned personal archive photographs into clothing. Alessandro photographed the campaign in their London home and named garments after family members and people close to them. In 2025, Limehouse Flowers reached Saint Laurent Babylone in Paris; their agency also lists commissions for Givenchy, Blumarine, Sandro and New Balance x Miu Miu.
