Mini bio
How it started.
Raised in Brooklyn, Angelo wanted to become a dermatologist by age 16. During residency, seeing questionable skincare information online inspired the DermAngelo blog in 2019. Its first article drew an enthusiastic response.
Finding an audience.
Angelo began posting on TikTok in January 2020. In an American Academy of Dermatology interview, Angelo recalled how the pandemic brought a captive audience at home and helped the videos gain traction.
The science behind the posts.
Angelo earned a medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine with distinctions in dermatology and basic science research, then completed dermatology residency at George Washington University, serving as chief resident. Research interests include LGBTQ+ dermatology and social media’s role in personal health.
Beyond the skincare shelf.
Angelo founded SOUL-A to bring sun-protective clothing into everyday wardrobes. In March 2026, Angelo and cosmetic chemist Ramón Pagán launched Divine Skintervention, combining skincare science with beauty industry and culture conversations.
