Mini bio
How it started.
Born in Tehran, Arash moved to Sweden with his family at ten. After college, he released his self-titled debut album in June 2005. “Boro Boro” and “Temptation” carried his music across Europe.
A sound fans can sing along to.
Arash told RFE/RL that his attachment to Iran and Persian culture shaped his choice to sing in Persian. He deliberately made lyrics easy to pronounce so listeners could join in without speaking the language. His songs blended Iranian music with Indian and European beats.
Beyond his own singles.
In 2009, he co-wrote and performed “Always” with AySel for Azerbaijan, finishing third at Eurovision. His later collaborations include “I Adore You” with HUGEL, Topic and Daecolm, and “Say My Name” with HEDEGAARD.
