Mini bio

How it started.

Ashley told Rare Beauty she began posting on YouTube as a young mother, after seeing women around her lose time for themselves. Beauty became a way to encourage making space for personal interests.

Finding her audience.

Her channel was known as AshGhotCakessTV. In 2019, she joined the original Sephora Squad. A year later, her split-face comparison of 2016 and 2020 makeup attracted coverage from Allure, which described the tutorial as going viral.

Beauty, her way.

Her signature look draws on the Latina makeup she grew up seeing: matte skin, winged liner, full lashes, arched brows and brown lip liner. Her videos also document hair changes, including shaving her head with help from her daughters in 2021.

What she shares now.

Recent uploads include lip-combo try-ons and partnerships with OGX, e.l.f. Cosmetics and Urban Decay. In her Rare Beauty interview, she described success as having freedom to spend time with her daughters.
