Mini bio
How it started.
Before music became his career, Atif wanted to play cricket. In his OK! Pakistan interview, he recalled singing at family gatherings and college competitions. He formed Jal with guitarist Goher Mumtaz, and “Aadat” became his breakthrough online in 2003.
Finding his own voice.
After leaving Jal, he released Jal Pari in 2004, followed by Doorie in 2006 and Meri Kahani in 2008. His playback work brought that voice to films in Pakistan and India, including “Woh Lamhe,” “Tu Jaane Na” and “Dil Diyan Gallan.”
Beyond film songs.
His 2015 Coke Studio performance of “Tajdar-e-Haram” paid tribute to the Sabri Brothers. He also acted in Bol and later made his television acting debut in Sang-e-Mah. More recently, his own channel has become home to Borderless World and videos from Subah Aye Na.
