Mini bio
Finding his voice.
Born in Isakhel in Mianwali, Attaullah wanted to sing from childhood, despite opposition at home. He left to pursue music and performed in villages, where listeners recorded his songs on cassette. Radio Pakistan in Bahawalpur invited him to perform in 1972, followed by an appearance on Neelam Ghar in 1973.
The cassette years.
A Faisalabad recording session produced four albums that became national bestsellers in the late 1970s. His music travelled with everyday listeners, especially truck drivers. His official channel still describes that bond as part of his story. In 1980, he performed his first overseas concert in the United Kingdom.
Songs across generations.
His repertoire includes Saraiki, Punjabi and Urdu songs, with “Qameez Teri Kaali” among his signature works. Coke Studio brought his voice into new arrangements through “Ni Oothaan Waale” and “Pyaar Naal” in 2011. He later sang “Sab Maya Hai” and “Allah Karesi” with his son Sanwal, who joined him again for the 2026 “Bewafa” video.
