How it started.
Before television, Bethenny worked as a natural food chef and built BethennyBakes, a New York baking and meal-delivery business. The venture appeared on The Apprentice: Martha Stewart in 2005, where she finished as runner-up.
The breakout.
Joining The Real Housewives of New York City in 2008 brought Bethenny to a wider audience. She appeared from 2008 to 2010 and returned from 2015 to 2019, with the spin-off Bethenny Ever After along the way.
Building Skinnygirl.
The Skinnygirl Margarita became the starting point for a broader lifestyle business. Beam acquired Skinnygirl Cocktails in March 2011. Bethenny also built a writing career, with books ranging from Naturally Thin, written with Eve Adamson, to the business advice in Business Is Personal.
A creator’s next chapter.
Her online world brings together food, beauty, and everyday finds through reviews and The List by Bethenny. In 2026 she added a dpHUE leadership role, a Supermodel Café pop-up, and an SI Swimsuit print debut. Just B, the podcast she began in 2020, stopped recording new episodes in July 2026.
Showing up in a crisis.
Through BStrong, Bethenny partners with Global Empowerment Mission to support people affected by disasters. Their work provides cash cards and critical supplies, including relief for communities in Puerto Rico and people affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.
