How it started.
Bettina grew up in Ocala, Florida, and moved to London after university. Her first work there was in restaurant technology. After losing that job, a conversation over dinner led to an interview for a personal shopping internship.
Finding her audience.
At a fashion concierge company, she created complete outfits for its social media channels. Seeing people respond to those looks encouraged her to share her own holiday outfits on Instagram. Brand collaborations followed, and she went on to build her own boutique personal shopping business.
Her own eye.
Vintage glamour, bold shoulders, puffed sleeves, and statement jewelry run through her styling. Her work has grown to include jewelry collaborations with By Alona and SHAY, alongside sourcing and wardrobe styling through The Bettina Looney Edit.
Life now.
She is a mother of two boys and works between London and Miami. Fans can follow her shopping columns as a Who What Wear editor in residence and read The Fitting Room for fashion edits, beauty picks, home renovation updates, and family life.
