How it started.
Karen grew up in London and started blogging in February 2009 while working in the music industry. After moving to New York, hunting for small boutiques helped inspire Where Did U Get That.
Finding her voice.
The blog grew into street-style photography and the YouTube series What Everyone Is Wearing In New York! She stops people to ask about their clothes, turning the question behind her blog into conversations on camera.
Beyond the blog.
By 2011, her work included CoverGirl advertising, Coach videos and Topshop events. In 2012, she announced a co-hosting role on Marie Claire’s Fashion Mission, taking on weekly styling challenges with Lindsey Calla.
Her approach.
Karen mixes vintage, accessible brands and designer pieces. In an ESSENCE interview, she explained that YouTube gave her a way to talk to viewers beyond the photographs on her blog.
