Mini bio
How it started.
From Sialkot in Pakistan’s Punjab, Bilal began writing songs in high school. He told Asian Sunday that he spent six to seven years in the studio as a composer and lyricist before his own singing career took off. “12 Saal” introduced him in 2011, and “Adhi Adhi Raat” followed in 2012.
Songs fans return to.
His debut album Twelve arrived in 2012. For the 2016 film Baar Baar Dekho, he sang and composed “Teri Khair Mangdi,” also contributing additional lyrics and arrangements. In 2019, he teamed with Momina Mustehsan for “Baari.” Their sequel, “Uchiyaan Dewaraan,” followed in 2020, with Bilal writing, composing and directing.
A more personal record.
Superstar arrived in October 2024 through One Two Records. Bilal told Apple Music that the album drew on his own experiences, and that releasing “Baari” through his own label had given him more creative freedom. The record brings Punjabi pop together with collaborations featuring Talha Anjum, Asim Azhar and Aima Baig.
