How it started.
During graduate school at USC in 2011, a classmate told Chungah about a friend with a food blog. Chungah opened a Tumblr to document the food she made at home. She recalls starting with just two or three readers, mostly friends.
Finding her readers.
Damn Delicious grew an audience on Pinterest through approachable dishes, short ingredient lists and bright photography. Quick, savory dinners became her focus. What began as a hobby grew into a full-time business.
From blog to bookshelf.
Her first cookbook, Damn Delicious: 100 Super Easy, Super Fast Recipes, arrived in September 2016. Damn Delicious Meal Prep followed in February 2019, with 115 recipes designed for preparing meals ahead.
In the kitchen now.
Chungah works with a team that tests and retests recipes before publication. Her current focus is quick dinners with easy-to-find ingredients, plus tutorials and videos that help readers cook them at home.
