Mini bio
How it started.
Clint grew up near a Colorado lake, keeping tadpoles before garter snakes. Teaching later brought animals back into his working life: he wanted students to meet living creatures in class. His friends Jason and Will suggested a reptile YouTube channel, with Jason learning to edit and Will’s wife Michelle filming. Their modest original plan was a beginner list and follow-up videos about the animals.
Finding his audience.
Clint’s Reptiles launched in 2017. His pet-reptile introductions helped the channel grow into full-time work, with a shirt, tie and familiar greeting becoming part of the format. He and Leisha developed a hands-on venue in Springville, moving into the Reptile Room in December 2019.
The teacher behind the desk.
His official biography lists a doctorate in Biology Education, a master’s in Evolutionary Ecology and teaching experience at Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University. The Reptile Room grew from a family dream into a place where visitors can hold and feed animals, with the aim of encouraging care for the natural world.
Beyond pet reptiles.
The channel also explores evolutionary relationships, unfamiliar animals and prehistoric life. Recent episodes range from primate classification and caecilians to a dinosaur-film discussion with paleontologist Ethan Harvey.
