Mini bio

How it started.

Growing up in Melbourne, Curtis was drawn to food through his grandmother Maude’s fudge. He began his professional career at the Savoy Hotel, then moved to London to work under Marco Pierre White at Café Royal, Mirabelle and Quo Vadis.

Finding his audience.

A London television appearance led to more screen work and a show in Australia combining cooking, travel and surfing. His American breakthrough was Take Home Chef, which began on TLC in 2006 and followed him helping supermarket shoppers make a surprise dinner at home.

From kitchens to screens.

Curtis opened Maude in Beverly Hills in 2014 and Gwen with his brother Luke in 2016. Both earned Michelin stars. His screen work includes Top Chef Masters, Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend and the travel series Field Trip. He also makes culinary programming through Sunny Side Up Productions.

What fans can follow now.

His work spans recipes, cookbooks, restaurant projects and kitchen products. Four Stones Farm is a base for his test kitchens, vineyard and filming. In 2026 he added Dine In with Curtis Stone, a refrigerated meal collaboration with Giant Eagle and Market District.
