Mini bio
How it started.
Ben Conrad, Matthew Levin, and Nick Moceri founded Donut Media in 2015. Working from Los Angeles, they built an automotive outlet that mixed comedy with explanations fans could follow.
Finding its audience.
The 2016 short Two Grannies, One Lamborghini gave Donut an early breakout. Up to Speed then helped turn car history into a recurring reason to come back. HiLow compared cheap and expensive parts, while Money Pit brought viewers into the work of building a project car.
Beyond the garage.
Recurrent Ventures acquired Donut in November 2021. The team’s work also reached games: Forza Horizon 5 added a Donut Media Hi-Low story in June 2023. In May 2026, a new Civic-building season of HiLow arrived on Tubi.
