Mini bio
How it started.
Azadeh moved from Iran to Kentucky at nine without speaking English. Drawn to both science and visual creativity, she pursued medicine, earned her MD at the University of Kentucky in 2004, and completed dermatology training in 2008 at UC San Diego.
Building her own practice.
After ten years at Scripps Clinic La Jolla, she set out to create the kind of personal patient experience she wanted to offer. She founded La Jolla Dermatology & Laser Surgery Center and developed EyeGlow, her signature approach to under-eye rejuvenation.
Reaching beyond the clinic.
Her skincare business grew from products she made for her own patients. During the pandemic, she built a website to help them order from home and found demand spreading beyond her practice. Alongside AziMD, she shares skincare education as Skin by Dr. Azi and hosts More Than a Pretty Face, answering questions and interviewing guests about skin, beauty, and health.
