Before the kitchen videos.

Emily started her YouTube channel in 2012. Under the name Sharewear, she made fashion and lifestyle videos while pursuing a career outside the internet. She graduated from Columbia in 2014 with a neuroscience degree, worked at L’Oréal and Facebook, and left Facebook in 2018 to make videos full time.

The bowl that traveled.

In 2021, her salmon rice bowl brought a much larger audience to her cooking. Leftover fish, rice, an ice cube for reheating, and familiar condiments became a recognizable routine. The quiet kitchen sounds were part of the appeal. Emily later explained that comfort meals like the bowl came from dishes her mother and grandmother made.

A week in Emily’s life.

Her newsletter adds the details behind the videos, from meal ideas to routines and favorite finds. In 2024, she created her first recipe collaboration with Green Chef: eight dishes inspired by comforting, seasonal food. More recently, her videos and newsletter have followed family meals and motherhood, including the arrival of her second son, Clifford, announced in May 2026.
