Mini bio
How it started.
Eva grew up in Litvínov, in what was then Czechoslovakia. A trip with a friend to a modeling competition in Prague led to an offer to work in Paris. She moved there in 1989 at 16. In interviews with Tatler and Der Standard, she remembers a steep learning curve, long days of castings and the sense that she had been given an unusual opportunity.
The campaign everyone remembers.
Eva names Guess, photographed by Ellen von Unwerth, as her first important campaign. Wonderbra’s 1994 “Hello Boys” advertisement brought much wider recognition. She later told Der Standard that a shoot with Mario Testino for The Face helped change how the industry saw her, opening a new phase of work with photographers including Peter Lindbergh and Paolo Roversi.

Her work has also taken her into performance. In Duran Duran’s 2011 “Girl Panic!” video, Eva plays keyboardist Nick Rhodes. In 2025 she starred in Trussardi’s short film The Gentle Society. Her recent projects include a third Pirelli Calendar appearance and designing a capsule collection with Roy Roger’s.
