Mini bio

How it started.

Fabio was born in Naples and studied law at Bocconi in Milan. During university, visits to tailoring workshops became a way to learn directly from craftspeople. In 2012, that curiosity became The Bespoke Dudes, a blog exploring how different cities and makers approach classic menswear.

From reader to community.

Workshop interviews and magazine contributions helped turn the blog into a career. His own site lists writing for GQ Italia, Fashion Illustrated and Arbiter among other publications. Instagram brought those stories to a wider audience; by 2026, Florence’s official event listing described a following of more than half a million.

Making things, too.

In 2015, Fabio co-founded TBD Eyewear with Andrea Viganò. The brand makes eyewear in Italy, connecting the blog’s interest in craft with a product fans can wear. His official author biography identifies him as its CEO.

Stories you can keep.

The Scent of Tailoring books carry his workshop research onto paper: Italy and Spain in Volume I, France and Britain in Volume II, then the United States in Volume III. Vita da gentleman, published by Giunti in 2024, widens the conversation to everyday manners, from introductions to smartphone etiquette.

Trivia

  1. His first bespoke suit in Naples used green Solaro fabric. He later realised his wardrobe still needed basic navy and grey suits.
  2. The first Scent of Tailoring compares the jackets and stories of eleven artisans; Volume II follows ten, and Volume III follows nine.
  3. In his Fashion Times interview, he said he often wears photochromic lenses that darken in the light.
