Mini bio

How it started.

Brian Awadis grew up in San Diego with parents who had immigrated from Iraq. He began uploading Call of Duty clips in 2012 and went on to join FaZe Clan. In a Forbes interview, he recalled persuading his parents to let him take a semester away from college to pursue YouTube.

Letting fans into the family.

The move from gameplay to everyday life helped the channel grow. Brian brought his family and dog Bosley into vlogs, then built a wider audience through pranks and challenges. His January 2015 “COCAINE PRANK!!”, played on his mother, remains one of his best-known early uploads.

Trying new formats.

Brian played himself in the 2020 horror film Crimson and hosted YouTube Originals competition #1 Chicken in 2021. He also released the official video for “Goin’ Live” in 2020. His love of candy became a business with 1UP Candy’s first product launch in May 2023.

The next chapter.

After years as a FaZe Clan member and co-owner, Brian announced his departure from the organization on December 27, 2025. His channel continues under the FaZe Rug name, with recent uploads spanning food tastings, creator collaborations, product tests and paranormal investigations.
