How it started.

Flávio grew up in a modest family on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro. At 23, he founded the English-school business that became Wise Up. His own account dates that first school to 1995 and says he used R$20,000 from his overdraft.

From business to sharing.

In his Geração de Valor FAQ, he explains that the initiative began in 2010 and reached social media in 2011. He initially committed an hour a day for one year, then made it a permanent project in 2013. Its first in-person GVTOP event followed in São Paulo in 2014.

Fans can explore his ideas in the Geração de Valor trilogy and Ponto de inflexão, or watch him discuss entrepreneurship on O Conselho. He also co-wrote A Trinca: Jornada da Liberdade with Caio Carneiro and Joel Jota, drawing on their event of the same name.

Beyond the screen.

His career also includes ownership of Orlando City, which he sold in 2021. His publisher identifies him as chairman of Wiser Educação’s board and founder of the Mentoring League Society. In September 2024, he became a voluntary strategic communications ambassador for the Brazilian Navy.
