Mini bio
How it started.
Goher and Atif Aslam performed together as students in Lahore. At an Abhi premiere interview, Goher recalled actor Faysal Quraishi encouraging them to take the band seriously. Aadat became their early calling card, reaching listeners through radio and music television.
Building Jal.
After Atif left, Jal continued with Farhan Saeed on vocals and Shazi on bass. The band released Aadat in 2004 and Boondh in 2007, home to Sajni. Goher later took on lead vocals; Pyaas followed in 2013. In a 2015 interview, he described writing and composing Aadat, Woh Lamhe, Dil Haari and Sajni.
Music on screen.
His work also reaches television and film. He composed for Qurban and starred opposite Kubra Khan in Abhi, composing its soundtrack too. In 2026, he told Synergyzer that acting came through friends’ encouragement, while music remained his first love.
