The first wheels.
Guy’s first food business was a soft-pretzel cart he built with his father at age ten. Selling pretzels and washing dishes helped him save for study in Chantilly, France. He later earned a Hospitality Management degree at UNLV and opened restaurants in Northern California.
The TV breakthrough.
Winning Next Food Network Star in 2006 brought him his own cooking series, Guy’s Big Bite. Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives followed in 2007, taking viewers into local restaurants and introducing them to the people behind the food.
A table with more seats.
Guy expanded into competition television with Guy’s Grocery Games and Tournament of Champions. His work also reaches beyond the screen: he partners with Sammy Hagar in Santo Tequila and leads a foundation supporting first responders, veterans, military members and culinary education.
