Mini bio

How it started.

Iberê trained as a journalist at USP and co-created Manual do Mundo with Mari Fulfaro in 2008. Their early videos brought homemade experiments to YouTube. He told Exame that they relied on cameras borrowed from friends for more than a year.

Finding an audience.

By November 2014, YouTube’s own case study counted more than 2.5 million subscribers. Regular uploads and experiments in physics and chemistry helped turn a home project into his profession. That year also brought the first 50 experimentos para fazer em casa book and the Cartoon Network series Experimentos Extraordinários.

Bigger questions, bigger builds.

The channel now moves between making things, taking objects apart and visiting places that viewers rarely get to see. Iberê’s team spent four years building a homemade submarine. Another project earned a Guinness record: a 23.81-metre ice-lolly-stick structure, measured in São Paulo on December 4, 2023.
