Mini bio
A shared beginning.
Jack and Lazaro met at Parsons School of Design and teamed up for their senior thesis. Barneys New York bought the whole collection, giving the pair a starting point for Proenza Schouler, which they founded in 2002.
Building their own language.
At Proenza Schouler, they combined tailoring and custom fabrics with references to contemporary art and youth culture. They won the inaugural CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund in 2004 and introduced the PS1 satchel in 2008.
A new chapter.
In January 2025, they announced their departure from Proenza Schouler’s day-to-day creative leadership. LOEWE named them its new creative directors that March. Their first runway collection for the house arrived in October 2025, followed by further collections and campaigns in 2026.
